Tusa Consulting Services II-LLC, a designer of public safety radio systems, today announced the award and execution of a multi-year contract with the city of New Orleans for radio consulting and related technical services.
COVINGTON, LA, September 28, 2011 /Public Relations PR News/ -- Tusa Consulting Services II-LLC, a designer of public safety radio systems, today announced the award and execution of a multi-year contract with the City of New Orleans for radio consulting and related technical services.
According to Dominic (Nick) Tusa, founder of Tusa Consulting Services, "On behalf of our company, we are thrilled to have New Orleans join our family of clients that include Kansas City, Missouri; the Mid America Regional Council; Floyd County, Georgia and many others. My career in public safety radio communications started with projects for the City of New Orleans, beginning in 1985, and I owe the City a tremendous debt in terms of the education and friendships gained during that first twenty-year association. With this new contract, our firm's personnel are eager to support New Orleans in its goals for Long Term Evolution (LTE) and an expanded Project-25 space."
An initial group of projects has already been identified by the City that includes VHF/UHF narrowbanding of existing radio systems; implementation support for a City-owned Project-25 800MHz simulcast/multisite radio network; and budgetary planning for an LTE broadband network platform.

Tusa Consulting Services was founded by Dominic (Nick) Tusa in 1991. At that time, Tusa provided contract radio engineering services for professional consulting firms such as Moses Engineers (New Orleans); RCC Consultants (Woodbridge, NJ) and Dorsey-Pages, LLC. Additionally, Tusa independently undertook microwave and radio communications projects for Exxon Company, USA; the City of Kansas City, Missouri and others.
By 2002, Tusa had begun its transition from providing technical services to other consulting firms and focused on developing a wholly-independent private practice.
