New Jersey Nursing Home Residents' Bill of Rights
The Nursing Home Resident's Bill of Rights protects nursing home residents against all forms of abuse and neglect. It is intended to help seniors who require care to maintain dignity, justice, and personal freedom based on their emotional and mental needs. The NHRBR covers many areas including:
- Transfer or discharge
- Self-determination
- Access
- Privacy
