JPL Earns Five Horizon Awards for 2009
Each year the Horizon Interactive Awards honor excellence in the production of interactive media. This year JPL, a strategic, integrated communications company, received five awards for work done on client websites.
HARRISBURG, PA, June 04, 2009 /Public Relations PR News/ -- JPL has earned five Horizon Interactive Awards for excellence in interactive media production.
JPL created a website for Morgan Corporation which won Best of Category in "Business to Business." Morgan's site (www.MorganCorp.com) communicates the corporation's brand, product line and commitment to customer service. Customers can browse new truck bodies, access detailed product information and use an interactive map to locate and contact service centers and distributors.
JPL earned a Gold Award for its work on the Reese's website. The site utilizes Flash technology to bring the Reese's brand to life and provides users with an interactive media experience. Site layout conveys the idea of "all things Reese's" and creates a feel that is casual, familiar and fun.
JPL's work on the Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) Admissions site also received a Gold Award. The website targets high school students and uses a conversational tone to counsel them about the HACC experience. Rich in video and Flash, it offers real-life stories of HACC students, creating a stimulating peer-to-peer perspective.
JPL earned a Silver Award the Susan P. Byrnes Health Education Center e-Learning project "Seaing" Me for Me: Mental Health Kit Grades K-3." The project expanded the Center's e-Learning kits to communicate mental health concepts to elementary school students. Online activities in the kit include a pretest, an instructional activity, a review game, and a posttest. They are designed to be incorporated into classroom, group, or individual learning activities.
JPL received a Bronze Award for its own website, JPLcreative.com. The new Flash-based site rolled out JPL's new brand in September 2008. The highly interactive site allows the user to view client case studies and portfolio pieces as well as explore JPL's new expanded strategic services and learn about JPL's unique culture and people.
The eighth annual Horizon Interactive Awards recognize excellence in worldwide production of interactive media. This year, just over 2,000 entries from nearly all 50 U.S. states and 32 countries were submitted. Entries are judged by a Horizon Interactive Awards advisory panel and a panel made up of industry professionals from around the world. Winners are deemed the "best of the best" and are recognized on an international level.
